Vanke Cloud City Design Commune has always been dedicated to creating an innovation ecosystem. Since hosting Maker Faire Shenzhen in the park in 2019, we have reached our third year of cooperation. We have always hoped to integrate more maker energy into Vanke Cloud City. This year, to embrace makers and co-create the future, we will open up real operational pain points in the commune and invite makers to propose solutions, using the power of technology to improve the quality of work and life in the commune.

Whether it’s intelligent parking, electronic guidance, safety monitoring, smart lighting, digital management, or art installations, we look forward to seeing your creative ideas and solutions. Through this “Vanke Cloud City: Cyber Space Co-Creation Camp” event, we hope to build an open platform that allows makers to express themselves freely, turn their imaginative ideas into reality, and jointly explore the unlimited possibilities of future communities.

05. Vanke Cloud City Design Commune Pain Points

1. Intelligent management of temporary parking spaces

Due to daily use of the commune’s multi-story parking lot, ground-level temporary parking spaces are often occupied by vehicles that don’t meet temporary parking requirements, affecting the use by other vehicles. We propose to improve this through intelligent equipment and system management to monitor the use of temporary parking spaces and increase the utilization rate of the multi-story parking lot.

2. Electronic map and navigation for the commune

The commune often receives feedback that visitors cannot find their destinations. As the park covers a large area, it’s not feasible to rely solely on paper materials for long-term publicity and introduction. We propose to provide navigation guidance through an electronic map, which can also include related plugins (including but not limited to a convenient contact system for the management office, heat map of dining personnel, etc.).

3. Public area status analysis and early warning

According to the commune’s management status, abnormal personnel often appear at night, but security personnel cannot monitor in real-time, causing safety risks in the commune. We propose to create 24-hour monitoring management in key areas through smart management methods to ensure commune safety.

4. Smart lighting energy management

According to the commune’s initial hardware investment conditions, it can no longer meet the commune’s energy-saving management requirements. Therefore, we propose to reduce energy consumption through intelligent management means with low-cost investment.

5. Restroom management

Due to the current crowded restroom situation in the commune, uneven resource distribution, and occasional restroom malfunctions that are not promptly reported to the management department for handling. We propose to optimize restroom utilization and ensure 24-hour normal use through digital management methods.

6. Art and technology interactive installations

According to daily commune operation management, visitors generally reflect that the experience lacks warmth and a public art atmosphere, failing to reflect the technological atmosphere of the Liuxiandong Headquarters Base. We propose to add interactive installations with warmth through art + technology to enhance interaction between the commune and people.

7. Garbage overflow management

During commune operation management, it was found that garbage overflow cannot be monitored in real-time, affecting air quality and environmental quality. We propose to monitor garbage overflow status 24/7 through intelligent equipment and effectively notify management personnel for cleaning in real-time.

8. Smart transportation within the commune

According to the commune’s planning and design, the commune covers 100,000 square meters. Daily operation management across regions takes up a lot of time, resulting in reduced management efficiency. We propose an intelligent park transportation solution to shorten cross-regional travel time and improve efficiency.

9. Pet-friendly and cycling-friendly smart devices

According to the commune’s operational positioning, due to high green coverage and the preferences of high-net-worth office workers, there’s a need to create a pet-friendly and cycling-friendly environment. We propose to add related smart devices to enhance the commune’s friendliness and attract more visitors.

10. Intelligent irrigation system

Due to the high proportion of green areas, daily management relies on manual irrigation, which is inefficient. We propose an intelligent irrigation system to improve commune management efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
