98 Booths and a Growing Maker Community: Meet the First Exhibitors of Maker Faire Shenzhen 2026🎉

Spread the love

98 booths confirmed. Makers coming together across borders, disciplines, and generations. And more ideas waiting for a place to be shared.

The response to Maker Faire Shenzhen 2026 has been exciting to see. Our planned exhibition space is now fully allocated, with 98 booths confirmed for December 12–13.

Behind those booths are independent makers, companies, schools, universities, community groups, and creative teams—each bringing a different perspective on what we can build and share.

As applications continue to come in, our team is reviewing the layout and exploring ways to accommodate as many applicants as possible. We want to make room for the enthusiasm this community has brought to the Faire.

Here’s a first look at who’s joining us.

Meet Our First Wave of Exhibitors

This first lineup brings together people working in different settings: labs, makerspaces, colleges, companies, etc.

Some are exhibiting independently; others are coming with classmates, colleagues, or fellow community members. They may have different tools, resources, and experience, but they share a willingness to put their work out into the world—and start a conversation around it.

That mix is what makes Maker Faire worth exploring. A student can exchange ideas with an experienced engineer. An independent maker can meet a potential collaborator. A visitor’s question can give a team a fresh way to think about its project.

As we introduce individual exhibitors in the coming weeks, we’ll share more about what they’re building, what brought them here, and what you can discover at their booths.

Across Borders, Beyond Disciplines

This year’s lineup includes exhibitors from Japan, Singapore, the United States, Canada, India, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Poland, alongside participants from Hong Kong and across mainland China.

Among them are groups such as Hack Club, Nico-Tech, SalvageGarden Assistive Makerspace, and OpenArm, as well as individual creators and school-based teams.

Their participation brings different local communities into the same space. For visitors, it’s a chance to discover projects—and meet the people, practices, and perspectives behind them.

We hope those exchanges continue beyond the weekend, through new friendships, shared experiments, and future collaborations.

Different Starting Points, a Shared Place to Participate

You don’t need a large team or a long list of achievements to have something worth sharing.

A personal experiment can spark a useful discussion. A classroom project can introduce a new perspective. A prototype still being refined can invite feedback that helps its creator take the next step.

We want Maker Faire Shenzhen to be a welcoming place for those exchanges. Whether someone is exhibiting for the first time or returning with years of experience, there is value in showing the work, explaining the process, and learning from the people who stop to ask questions.

The growing exhibitor lineup reflects that spirit: different backgrounds, different stages of development, and many reasons to be curious about one another.

Exhibition Space Is Full—and We’re Exploring What’s Possible

Thank you to everyone who has applied to exhibit. Your enthusiasm has filled our planned exhibition space, and we’re working through the remaining applications while reviewing how the venue can accommodate more participants.

Exhibitor applications close on October 30, 2026. If you would still like to be considered, please submit your project before the deadline.

Additional placements will depend on available space and project requirements. We’ll follow up with applicants about what can be arranged; submitting an application does not guarantee a booth.

We appreciate your patience as we work to give as many projects as possible an opportunity to be seen.

Come Meet the People Behind the Projects

Maker Faire Shenzhen 2026 takes place on December 12–13.

With 98 booths confirmed, there will be plenty to explore—and plenty of people to meet. Come with questions, talk to the exhibitors, and discover how an idea develops through experimentation, collaboration, and persistence.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce more exhibitors, projects, speakers, and workshops to help you plan your visit.

Bring your curiosity. We look forward to welcoming you to Shenzhen.
